Sarah Hinds
LMHCA Candidate
Hi there,
I’m Sarah, an LMHCA candidate with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Seattle University. Prior to this, I studied English Literature at the University of Dallas, which taught me to pay attention to the stories people tell, the things they leave unsaid, and the ways our experiences shape us.
Before becoming a counselor, I worked in healthcare as a nursing assistant and private pediatric caregiver, including time in the NICU, hospice, memory care, and assisted living. Those experiences taught me to look beyond the immediate problem and consider the whole person and the life surrounding them.
My practice includes:
- Person-centered, narrative, and attachment-informed approaches
- Mindfulness and values-based work
- Art, creativity, and nature-based therapy
- Skills-focused interventions
My focus of treatment includes:
- Anxiety and depression
- Grief and loss
- Suicidal ideation and self-harm
- Suicide bereavement and postvention
- Life transitions and adjustment
- Identity, direction, and personal growth
- Family relationships and communication
- Parenting and child development
- Couples
- Coping, resilience, and reaching goals
I believe healing begins when we can meet ourselves with honesty and compassion, including during the difficult and uncertain seasons of life. Therapy can offer space to understand our experiences, reconnect with what matters, and take steps toward a life that feels meaningful.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy running, horseback riding, hiking, reading, and spending time with my family and our giant dog, Albert. Much of my own restoration happens outdoors, and I value the perspective, movement, and quiet that come with time outside.
I currently practice under the supervision of Hannah Lewis, LMHC.
Ongoing sessions are 50 minutes in length and are $150.
(Initial sessions are 90 minutes in length and are $225)
My services are reimbursable by insurance depending on your Out of Network Reimbursement rate for mental health
