Alexa Nachreiner

Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate - candidate

Hello! My name is Alexa.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) candidate with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Western Washington University (2019). My academic background and professional experience have provided a strong foundation in understanding human behavior, emotional health, and the systems that shape well-being.

Over the past six years, I’ve had the privilege of working in a range of behavioral health roles, including intensive outpatient case management, crisis counseling on the regional mental health crisis line, and training facilitation for the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. These experiences have allowed me to work with diverse populations, navigate complex emotional needs, and develop a grounded, compassionate approach to mental health care.

My integrative counseling approach draws from cognitive-behavioral and humanistic techniques, grounded in trauma-informed and person-centered principles. I aim to meet clients where they are—supporting the exploration of core beliefs that shape current functioning, deepening insight, and fostering resilience through practical, collaborative skill building.

I specialize in supporting clients with:

  • Managing anxiety, worry, and overthinking

  • Building emotional awareness and improving emotion regulation

  • Developing and maintaining effective coping strategies

  • Strengthening executive functioning skills such as organization, focus, and follow-through

  • Exploring core beliefs and patterns that influence relationships and self-perception

  • Supporting meaning making, identity development, and personal growth

  • Enhancing self-esteem, confidence, and alignment with personal values

  • Cultivating resilience in the face of life transitions, stress, and uncertainty

Outside of my professional work, I value movement, connection, and balance—spending time with loved ones, staying active, and engaging in self-care practices that nourish both mind and body.

As an LMHCA-candidate, I practice under the supervision of Hannah Lewis, LMHC (LIC: LH60940655), and am committed to providing ethical, collaborative, and evidence-informed care as I work toward full licensure.

Ongoing sessions are 50 minutes in length and are $125.
